I see you coasting through your nursing career.  Stressed out, struggling through those shifts, caring for your patients, trying to have a social life, keeping up with the kids, squeezing in date nights with Bae, working out, running a house…whew!   After all that, you have little to no energy to do YOU!  You've gotta know this is a recipe for disaster or nurse burnout or both, right?

That was me.  Disillusioned by the promises of patient care nursing.  

If this sounds like you, it's worth exploring a non-traditional nursing career or maybe even a nursing job you can do from home.     

A tremendous number of healthcare companies are hiring nurses with an active RN, LPN/LVN or NP license for jobs away from bedside nursing.   Sometimes you need a break from patient care nursing.   Maybe you're ready to try something new in your career.

I teach fellow nurses proven job hunting strategies to leverage their nursing experience and unique skillset to transition to a non-traditional nursing career.

My Story

A few years ago, I was where you are. I was a young nurse hungry for a fulfilling and exciting nursing career….

You know how it is.  In nursing school, you dreamed of passing your boards and becoming a nurse.   You had every intention of having a long career as a dedicated nurse, caring for and nurturing your patients back to health. 

For me, reality set in a few years into my nursing career. Working nights and weekends, I felt isolated from friends and family.  I stuck with it and eventually got burnt out.

After a lot of apprehension, I made a nursing career pivot and launched a job search using techniques no one tells you about.  Shortly after that, I landed the job of my dreams at a medical software company.   

It was a dream job. I traveled all over teaching physicians and nurses to use an electronic medical record (EMR) system.  Today, I'm still an active nurse and I work in health information technology (HIT), an industry ripe with opportunities for nurses just like you!

I’m a total HIT/EMR geek. I can talk your ear off for hours about the latest industry scoop.

When I’m not working, I can be found playing a super competitive round of Taboo with my hubby and 2 kids.

I’m an overly passionate soccer mom. I can be heard long before I’m seen on the sidelines most Saturday mornings. Yup, I’m THAT mom.

I LOVE Game of Thrones for a bunch of reasons, but mostly because of the strong, fierce female lead characters.   Daenerys Targaryen is one of my favorite fictional characters EVER 😉  On another note, I could watch Fixer Upper all day, if you let me.
